Sept 22 Fall Day at Chit-Chat Make a set of candy corn or a set of pumpkins! Drop in whenever between noon and 4pm on Saturday, September 22! (First day of fall, ya’ll!) Adults only!
Sept 22 Scarecrow Workshop Manatee Village Historical Park will host Scarecrow Workshops. Ideal for families and small groups of friends: create a life-sized scarecrow.
Oct and Nov Fun to be Fit Kids Held at rotating Sarasota County Libraries throughout the week Parents and kids are encouraged to dress up to class throughout October. In October they will be dancing and singing to Halloween songs. And the November classes with incorporate pumpkins, turkeys and thankfulness!
Oct 6 Goosebumps Party A special Goosebumps party based on the books and movies! Enjoy a variety of Goosebumps activities, enter to win a special prize, and then enjoy some popcorn and watch the first Goosebumps movie! Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume! Recommended for kids ages 7 and up.
Oct 8 Pizza & Family Night at Painting with a Twist Sarasota Bring your drinks and we'll supply the pizza. Come have fun with the family and everyone can choose the painting they like from the 5 selected. Lots of fall themed options!
Oct 13 Create Your own Halloween Tote Join Children's World and make a scary or fun Halloween picture or message and we'll press the drawing onto a canvas tote.
Oct 15 Halloween Ice Cream Social Join Bradenton Macaroni Kid at Culvers for frozen custard decorating and eating and a tour of the custard area. Bring your camera for a picture with their mascot Scoopie, and also wear your costume for the costume contest (with prizes for best girl and best boy contest). $5 per child. (10:30AM to 12PM).
Oct 18 Spooky Storytime South Manatee Library Stories, crafts, costume contest and trick or treating.
Oct 19 Fall Crafts at Gulf Gate Library School is out, so come to the library for an afternoon of make and take Fall, Halloween, Dia de los Muertos and Thanksgiving crafts.
Oct 20 Dia de los Muertos Join talented storyteller Carrie Sue Avyar in a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration with Mexican stories in Spanish and English followed by a craft!
Oct 20 DIY Decorate your own Coffin Come be a CREEP with Playin' With Dead Things and join us for the 1st Annual Handcrafter's & DIY Night Market.
Oct 23 Spider Storytime and Craft Join us as we read spider-themed books and then craft spider prints! This is a free event and is recommended for children ages 1.5 - 5. Event begins promptly at 11am.
Oct 30 Halloween Puppet and Craft We welcome families with children ages 0-7, looking for an alternative way to experience Halloween. This event nurtures the whole child, with a sweet story and seasonal craft.
