2022 Thanksgiving Camp and Special Activities Guide

School is almost out for Thanksgiving Break.  Whether you are looking for a fun camp to keep your kids entertained or just looking for fun Thanksgiving themed activities- look no further!  




CORE SRQ SWIM CAMP 

Join CoreSRQ at their North Branch for an amazing 4 day Thanksgiving Swim Camp, come daily or enjoy the full camp.  Campers will learn the skills of swimming and all safety components for being in and around the Aquatic environment. We’re very excited for a safe and Swimtastic Holiday Break!  


CORE SRQ THANKSGIVING DAY CAMP 


CoreKIDS day camps provide children with life lessons, new skills, adventures, and a chance to unlock their creativity. Our camps provide a safe environment where children gain self-confidence as they learn new skills. Thanksgiving Day Camp will be hosted at CoreSRQ South Branch and is open to kids in grades K-5.  



LIBERTY EDGE BASKETBALL 

Our camp is all about fun while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship and community. Campers will learn basketball skills and fundamentals with a focus on confidence and mentoring great student-athletes. Each day is filled with skills and games – And our Friday, Skills for Prizes, contests are always a hit. Camp t-Shirt included.


NAILED IT DIY KIDS MINI CAMP 


School is out! Let us watch and entertain the kids as we makes projects, do crafts, play games and make new friends! We will be doing a variety of Fall themed activities. Advance registration is required. Camp is recommended for ages 7 and up.  DAILY 9AM-3PM



PAINTING WITH A TWIST - SARASOTA 

Three hours of Artsy FUN which includes painting, games, and additional crafts related to the theme of the day, ages recommended is 5-12 years.


PINEAPPLE KITCHEN 

 


Does your child enjoy being creative with food and helping make appetizers?  This workshop will give hands on instruction to create a festive themed charcuterie board the students will feel proud to have made and take home. Thanksgiving Kid-cuterie  | Tuesday, November 8th, 5:30PM - 7:00PM


STEM MARTIAL ARTS 

STEM Martial Arts aims to reach children through martial arts and fitness programs with the word of God.  We teach Biblical life skills in every class and give practical life lesson examples to help them work through the challenges they may face. Our programs are completely free to at-risk and foster youth. 



SWEET PEAS GYMNASTICS LWR

Camp will be held November 21 and 23 from 11AM to 3PM for sweet peas ages 4+.  Cost is $35/day for members and $40/day for nonmembers.

NOV 11-23 Fall Grab & Go Crafts Drop-in this week at the Venice Public Library and pick up a Grab & Go Craft in the Children's Department to celebrate Fall! Crafts are distributed on Monday on on a first come, first serve basis, due to limited supplies. Gulf Gate Library |  2-3PM
NOV 15 and 16 Mornings with Mommy Harvest Time: Apples, Corn and Gourds  Each session's activities will include: arts and crafts, sensory table, story time, music, educational toys, and snack. $5 | 9:15-10:15AM

NOV 18 The Gift of Corn It's Corn! We are reading an Indigenous poem, "Song for the Corn," by the Tohono O’odham, or Papago, then decorating music shakers filled with dried corn. Sarasota Children's Garden |11-11:30AM

NOV 19 Cultural Explorers:  Native American Heritage Month  Celebrate Native American Heritage Month by learning about the culture and creating fun crafts. Palmetto Library | 1-2PM
NOV 22 Nature Gratitude Scavenger Hunt Join us from 11am to noon to set out on a  Nature Gratitude Scavenger Hunt around the garden, with a sweet treat when you finish! 

NOV 23 Fall Crafternoon Come make different Thanksgiving and fall crafts at the library!  This program is for families with children ages 12 and under. Registration is not required. Attendance is first come, first serve as room capacity is limited. Please check with the Youth Services Desk prior to the program.
