Description
Have a merry time at the maritime!
The Florida Maritime Museum (FMM), a part of the Manatee County Clerk’s Historical Resources Department, in partnership with Manatee County and the Friends of the Florida Maritime Museum, is thrilled to host a brand new holiday festival, Christmas in Cortez. Join us at this FREE family-friendly event as we celebrate the magic of the season!
Visitors can step right up to test their skill and luck at a variety of carnival-style and lawn games. Or, for all you thrill seekers, take a trip or two down our snow slide! Local and community organizations will have several interactive booths on our grounds with additional games, crafts, and fun demonstrations. Don't forget to visit Santa in his nautical workshop for photo opportunities and to make sure your name isn't on the naughty list!
Family-friendly food, snacks, and beverages will be available for purchase on site and will be provided by local businesses.
Parking will be available at the F.I.S.H. Preserve located on Cortez Road next to the Cortez Cultural Center directly east of the Florida Maritime Museum (Cortez Road and 116th Street). Look for the balloons marking the turn-off on Cortez Road! There will be no parking of any kind available on-site at the museum.
