Mark your calendars now for Vacation Bible School Day Camp, July 22-26, at Faith Lutheran Church, 7750 Beneva Road, Sarasota. Day Camp will run 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday of that week, and will conclude at noon Friday with a special program for families and friends. What Happens at VBS Day Camp? VBS Day Camp is an exciting five-day program offered by Camp Luther Springs that includes Bible study, worship, singing, games, arts and crafts, fellowship, nature studies, making new friends and so much more! Who Can Come? All youth from anywhere and any background who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome and warmly invited! No need to be part of a congregation. All are welcome! Note: Middle- and high-school students may be included, depending on initial enrollment.
What Does it Cost? And What Do Kids Need to Bring? There is no cost to attend VBS Day Camp! Plus, lunch and snacks are included! All children need to bring a water bottle. Important note: If children need to bring their own food due to allergies or preferences, they should pack lunches that do not need to be refrigerated. Who will lead VBS Day Camp? Counselors from Luther Springs lead the program. They are college-age (at least 18 years old) Christian adults who are trained and equipped in Bible study, worship, first aid, recreation, creative activities, and working with people both young and old. The counselors are led by an experienced Luther Springs program coordinator in conjunction with Deborah Dornemann, Faith Lutheran Director of Child and Family Ministry, and other Faith Lutheran volunteers.
