Spotlight Kids the result of over 35 years of love and passion for working with children in theater. With the premise of adapting Musical Theater pieces for young children and honing their singing, acting, and dancing skills. In August, 2007 starting with just 8 students, The Spotlight Kids of Sarasota had their first rehearsal. Over the next ten 16 years growing to a troupe of 60-70 young performers. Spotlight Kids can be seen performing on every stage in Sarasota from Community to Professional theaters. Spotlight Kids has had students on National Tours, off-Broadway and Broadway Shows. They have studied at some of the most prestiges colleges as Boston Conservatory, Berkley, Pace University, Manhattan School of Music, Otterbein University, Baldwin Wallace, CCM, FSU and many more.
Today, Spotlight Kids is a one of a kind, arts education for young people and is dedicated to providing school age students the highest quality performing arts education with a focus on training in the musical theater disciplines of voice, dance and acting.
