Business Review

"As a former public school teacher and mom of a future engineer, I firmly believe that the Suncoast science center is an invaluable asset to our community. It provides students with a way to explore their interests and prepare for what careers in the future might bring.

We began our journey at the Faulhaber Fab Lab two years ago when my son was seven. He was a little young for most of their programs, but his desire for all things STEM-related persevered and he found his new home away from home. In the past, I had heard of the Fab Lab, but did not know the extent of the services provided. The hands-on engagement they offer for students is a one-of-a-kind experience in our area. They are the sole provider for science-related classes and camps including coding, chemistry, robotics, engineering, and more. My son has had the opportunity to work with laser cutters, solder irons, 3D printers, and many more pieces of equipment he would have access to otherwise.

And one unique feature of is the engagement of high school student volunteers. The students dedicate their time into developing and teaching curriculum, along the way building long-lasting relationships with younger students. My son has greatly benefited from the expertise and care of his mentors there." - Mother of Fab Lab participant
