The mission of Lakewood Ranch Gymnastics (LWRG) is to provide the highest quality gymnastic training to all ages and levels of athletes in a safe, positive and stimulating environment, while developing strong, happy young people of good character and good sportsmanship.
While challenging each athlete to progress to his or her individual ability and commitment level, we will strive to help each child grow, not only in his/her physical abilities, but also as people of character, integrity, and sportsmanship, and to become contributing members of society. We will assist our parents in teaching their children to take responsibility for their actions, to think for themselves, to encourage them to act respectfully to their peers and coaches, and to instill a sense of pride in their athletic abilities and accomplishments. It is our goal to provide a program that the whole family can enjoy and spend quality time together in a wholesome environment. We hope to achieve all of this in a way which works in a cohesive manner for everyone involved – the athlete, the parents, and the staff of LWRG.
Recreational programs include classes for both boys and girls, ages 18 months and up!
Our competitive teams start at Level 1 (USAG) and progress all the way to aspiring Elites. The gymnasts progress by age and ability in our program and are looked upon as individual athletes who will move through the levels of our sport based on their ability. We continuously challenge each child, advancing their gymnastic skills within their capability, while moving them forward to the next level of success. Our very experienced coaching staff is passionate about making champions while, at the same time, focused on making the journey fun along the way!
Open Gyms, a time where kids (*18 months to 18 years) can enjoy non-structured free time in the gym, are available every Wednesday from 11AM to 12PM ($7 for members and non-members) and every Saturday from 6:30PM to 8:30PM ($12 members and $15 for non-members). *Parents must be present in the gym with children 5 years of age and under.
