There are typically between 1100-1500 children in our local foster care system (Sarasota, Manatee and DeSoto counties). Bridge a Life recognizes that not everyone is called to be a foster parent, but everyone can do something to help our community's vulnerable children. They use a family-friendly Superhero-themed running event to bring local child welfare organizations to one location, to raise awareness of children's needs and help concerned community members gather information so they can make an informed next step about how to help.
Event Details: Saturday, February 16 (8:30AM Fun Run, 9AM 5K, 10AM Awards) at Nathan Benderson Park. Wear your favorite superhero costume (not required)! Get more information and register HERE.
