My Visit to Disney on Ice Presents Worlds of Enchantment!

Review

By Jaime Helton March 25, 2017

Calling all Disney fans! If you and your little ones love the magic of Disney, then Disney on Ice Presents Worlds of Enchantment is a must-see for your family.

My family was lucky enough to check out Disney on Ice Presents Worlds of Enchantment on its opening night. It was the ultimate surprise for our four year old. The show is a two hour production with a fifteen minute intermission. The stellar performances, theatricality, costumes, and songs managed to capture my normally rambunctious and fidgety sonโ€™s attention for the duration of the show!

Without giving too many spoilers, let me tell you a little bit about the Disney on Ice experience.

Worlds of Enchantment takes the audience on a journey through various Disney tales. We first visited Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and the Toy Story gang where they attempt to escape from Sunnyside Daycare. The set changes and dance numbers were incredible!

Our next stop was under the sea with Ariel, Flounder, and Sebastian. While the other stories are much newer, it was really fun seeing a story that was a favorite of mine growing up. And that Ursula! She looked like she swam right out of the animated movie.

Can I just show you my sonโ€™s face when Lightning McQueen drove out? This is the face of someone who is shocked to be seeing Mater, Lightning McQueen, and the rest of the cars from Radiator Springs.ย

I think the biggest hit of the night was when we were transported to Arrendale for the story of Frozen. There was a surge of energy in the crowd from the moment Anna appeared on the ice. The huge sea of little girls in the audience dressed like Anna and Elsa sang along with each song. I even had a group of dads near me belting out all of the words with just as much enthusiasm.

The fun continues all weekend at Disney on Ice Presents Worlds of Enchantment. The drive to Amalie Arena from Sarasota/Venice is about an hour, and it is well worth it. Be sure to arrive well before your performance to allow for parking, pictures, and souvenir purchases!
