Let us show you have FUN opera is on and off the stage! Under the direction of Sarasota Opera's professional staff, campers experience and study the many facets of opera- from performing on a stage to working behind the scenes, from music and acting to opera appreciation and production, there is something for everyone!
Designed for all skill levels, SYO camp eganges young performers in the magic of opera. A typical day includes sessions in singing, acting, physical comedy, sets, props, wigs, make-up, and costumes, all led by industry artists, directors, musicians, and technicians. Our camp for 8-10 year olds runs June 9th - 20th from 10:00-3:00 PM weekdays ($350). The camp for singers 11 and above runs from June 9th - 27th from 10:00-4:00 PM weekdays ($525).
