Tinkergarten is Coming to Sarasota!

Sponsored Post

Hi families! My name is Amanda Bristol and I’m a Tinkergarten leader for the Sarasota area. I have an almost two year old daughter who loves to spend all of her time outside – whether we’re at the beach, in the woods, or just at our local park, you can always find us collecting rocks, digging in the dirt, and getting as messy as possible! I’ve seen, first-hand, how beneficial outdoor play can be and I can’t wait to share those experiences with our community.

In a nutshell, Tinkergarten is a fast growing network of high quality play-based kids classes that take place in the healthiest classroom of all – the outdoors.  It is becoming a staple in active communities where families value healthy, social, and educational time outside for the kids. Research shows the links between play and foundational capacities such as memory, self-regulation, oral language abilities, social skills, and success in school. Our aim is to bring back the most influential part of our own childhoods — free time to tinker outside. The curriculum is designed to help kids develop core life skills like learning to problem-solve, lead, and create. Think about it as engaging, memorable, play-based learning in your local greenspace.

This Fall, I'll be leading classes for kids ages 18 mo - 5 yrs at Urfer Family Park. If you’re interested, I’m happy to answer any questions, or you can find additional details about the classes at http://tkgtn.com/h0tik. I will be holding free trials on Wednesday, October 5th at 10:00 AM and Saturday, October 8th at 9:00 AM. Classes will begin the following week!  Trials and classes fill up quickly, so if you are interested, head over to the website to secure your spot.  We look forward to playing and learning with you and your families!
